A pigeon leaves 30 Lbs. of dropping each year. Much of this is left on or immediately below buildings with ledges, sills, cornices, neon signs and attica.
Pigeon droppings contain ammonia, a chemical with corrosive effects on buildings (stone, stucco, aluminium, wood and siding materials). Pigeons themselves are carriers of health risks, including: samonella, ticks, mites and cause allergies.
Pigeons dropping result in recurring and expensive repair and cleaning
costs.
